Meeting Minutes

1. Attendance
   1. Katie Amsden- Administrator, Angie Snowden- Secretary, Jason Hyde- Chair, Sharee Brand- Vice Chair,  DJ Frandsen- Parent Representative, Nicole McGarry- Parent Representative,  Jerry Brand- Parent Representative, Tiffany Frandsen- Parent Representative, Diane Cooper- 3rd Grade Teacher

Welcomed by Katie Amsden

1. Review minutes from the previous meeting by Jason

   1. minutes were approved by the council unanimously
   2. Nicole motioned to approve, D.J. seconded
      
      

2. Amendment to plan as discussed

   1. Amended from STEM to STEAM to help pay for Art program/rotation
      
      
3. Current spending and budget
   1. Mrs. Amsden gave an update on current spending. Budget = 83,000.
   2.  Most money to date has been spent on aide salaries  ($30,502.38) to this point. Money for chrome books was transferred to the tech account to pay for chrome books as per the plan. ($19,000) 
      
      
4. Upcoming Plan
   1. Academic curriculum discussed and proposed
      1. Super Charged/Power Reader TSSA $5,000
      2. Academic Vocabulary (3-6)  third- 5th $5,000 Trustland /TSSA $5,000
         1. Research based/scripted for teachers
   2. 1:1 Chromebooks $20,000
   3. Update of technology $20,000 to replace aging equipment
   4. Aides $30-40,000
   5. Jason motioned to approve the money and items for next year’s plan and Sharee Brand seconded the motion
      
      
5. Other Items of Business
   1. Technology - Robotics, integration of technology and academics
   2. College student/Robotics: Someone to be in charge of the robotics program
   3. Back to School Night for Fall of 2023. 
      1. Teachers- More of a presentation for Back to School night
      2. Parents get more information/and what is to be expected in that classroom.
      3. Teacher video options for some parents
      4. 15 minutes in classes for presentations, beginning at 4:30

   1. Nicole motioned and D.J. seconded the motion to adjourn
