Meeting Minutes

1. Attendance

   1. Katie Amsden- Administrator, Angie Snowden- Title I Coordinator, DJ Frandsen- Chair, Nicole McGarry- Vice Chair,

   2. Jason Hyde- Parent representative, Sharee Brand- Parent

2. School Introductions- New Principal- Katie Amsden

3. Discussion and review of Trustland Website/Robert’s Rules of Order/Community Council Elections

   • Change of seats:
     • Nicole McGarry nominated Jason Hyde- Chair, DJ Frandsen seconded the nomination, All in favor- unanimous vote in favor
     • Katie Amsden motioned to nominate Sharee Brand- Vice Chair, Nicole McGarry seconded the nomination, All in favor- unanimous vote in favor
     • Nicole McGarry motioned to nominate Angie Snowden- secretary, DJ Frandsen seconded the nomination, All in favor- unanimous vote in favor
     • *Nicole McGarry and DJ Frandsen will serve as parent representatives
   • Elections:

   Jason Hyde motioned to change council elections from spring to fall, Nicole McGarry seconded the motion, All in favor- unanimous vote in favor

4. Review current Trustland Plan and funding

   • Went over plan from 2021-2022 school year. Carry over was 30,041.00. Previous council mentioned the carry over was due to an aide that was not hired. Aide was not hired because they could not get applicants for the position. 
   • Goals from the 2021-2022 plan were also reviewed for parent input and reporting purposes. 
   • School Plan and goals for 2022-2023 school year were presented to the council. Estimated distribution for the 2022-2023 school year is $74,849.73
   • Discussed data and research based interventions (LETRS) - (LETRS) is a reading literacy instruction for teachers regarding the science of reading. 

    

5. Review last year’s Trustland Plan for reporting

   
   

    

6. Reviewed Title I Plan

   • Needs assessment finding 
   • Priorities 1. Reading and Literacy, 2. Positive Behavior Support, 3. Special Education Reading and Literacy
   • Plan

7. Keyless entries for doors- Will do a fundraiser to raise funds  (Safety of school priority)

    

8. Field Trips- 2-3 per grade level

   
   

    

9. Next Community Council Meeting- October 27, 2022

   
   

   Nicole McGarry made a motion to adjourn, DJ Frandsen seconded, unanimous in favor, meeting adjourned.
