"One School, One Book"
*Literacy Night will be held Monday, February 29, 2016 at 6:00 pm. Our theme this year is "One School, One Book." For literacy night we want to have everyone read the same book and come together to celebrate this fun accomplishment.
*Our PTA and faculty have chosen The Indian in the Cupboard by Lynne Reid Banks as our "One Book" to read together. As our literacy gift to you, our school has purchased a copy for every family. Spend some time over the winter break reading this book together.
*There will be a drawing for a $25 Wal-Mart gift card for all students that complete the "One School, One Book" challenge. In January and February, our school will be holding book club days with fun activities tioo get students excited about literacy night. They will be every Wednesday starting January 6th-Febraury 24th from 1:15-2:15 in our school library. Students should bring their copy of the book with them for these activities.
*Remember to fill out the bottom of the yellow note that came home with the book for permission to participate in book club. Fill out the bottom section if you complete the reading of the Indian and the Cupboard over winter break.
Have fun reading...
